Life is hard.
The good news? It’s supposed to be.
In our world of instant gratification and convenience, it’s hard to accept difficulty and inconvenience. If we’re fortunate enough not to experience adversity growing up, we end up having to learn it as adults.
Though, it’s one thing to experience it. It’s even harder to thrive in it.
There’s no rulebook. There is literally no parameters to ways in which life can fuck you up or the level at which it happens. Like death, Adversity is inescapable, and, like Liam Neeson, it has an extraordinary set of skills.
However, the reason there is no playbook is that there is only one play: prepare.
You don’t just acknowledge that hard times are coming your way. You recognize and believe in your ability to be able to overcome them. You prepare for what’s to come by giving yourself the thick skin you need to succeed.
The easiest way through hell is to seek and embrace it.
